Rescued surfer Matthew Bryce: 'I was convinced I would die' - BBC News

Surfer Matthew Bryce "made himself at peace" believing he would not survive after 32 hours stranded at sea. Mr. Bryce was found 13 miles off the Argyll coast on Monday night after going surfing on Sunday morning. He explains how the day started normally but then things changed dramatically and he was sure he was going to die.

I don't mean to burst your bubble people, God had nothing to do with saving him, It was our good old British Coastguard who actually did the saving. With their eagle-like eyesight and courage, putting their lives on the line on a daily basis and hardly receiving any praise.
I always feel the emotion of relief and joy when I hear stories like this, they do a great job for little in return, you give me hope that the Human race may just make it after all! ... Respect to you lads!

Nothing is worse than people who make someone's survival of something horrific about God. It's ignorant and childish. First of all, the people who save these folks deserve ALL the praise yet never get near enough. Secondly, when you thank God for such a horrific experience for somebody, it's about as tone deaf as it gets considering God would also have been the one that put them through their ordeal as well... but I guess tone deaf goes hand in hand with blind faith.

I'm praying our Heavenly Father uses your life MIGHTILY. Keep in His Word and trust in Him through EVERYTHING. There's going to be tests and trials but know that He will never leave you nor forsake you.
