You guys need to release the firmware/Android OS updates for your devices outside of users/businesses with a Zebra Service Contract. In this day and age, requiring a contract to update your Android device is such a shame. I have a TC57HO that I purchased from a local electronics store for use with my small home business. The dedicated barcode scanner would make things so much easier and quicker. Unfortunately, the software I use requires Android 10 or higher. My TC57HO is stuck on Android 8.1. Honestly, all this does is hurt your users, and only serves to create more Ewaste in the end. Devices that could be using newer software, become locked out and just become garbage, even though they are perfectly functional. Super disappointing and such a shame. Locking Android updates behind a paywall is such a shame. I could understand putting your applications behind a paywall, or access to the services that run said applications, but killing the entire device via a paywall is just toxic. If my business ever becomes gets to the size I dream of, I can't said I'd go with Zebra devices. I'd rather go with a company that stands by their devices and supports them, without holders devices and users hostage for their wallets.
