You have to listen when Hendry is giving his analysis because i dont think there's any malice or bias in his critique.
Only player whose commentary is pure gold.
Never liked him as a player as he was ruthless which now earns him respect by most.

After what Hendry has achieved in the game no one is more qualified or entitled to call it as he sees it. Higgins is a tough watch at the mo but I'm still impressed by his guts and determination.

Hendry's last ranking title was in 2005 at age 36 (the Malta cup)
Higgins has just won the Tour Championship at age 49. Nuff said!

I love Higgins! One of the greatest snooker players of all time! Top 3 at age of 50!

Historically, the top snooker players are gifted even to the extent of being geniuses!
When they are playing snooker at their best, it's so easy to watch and enjoy almost like having Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, composing in front of you.
Hendry has seen Higgins playing his A game against himself, and Higgins is no longer at that level but still contributing and winning.
O'sullivan, a few years ago, witnessed Higgins play flawless snooker ( waxing lyrical about it ) to win a title!
That genius Higgins rarely turns up today except in a few individual matches, so Hendry deserves the right to criticise a fellow legend because he's been there and done it himself.

Hendry is allowed to say it as he sees it and he called it and since then Higgins has looked better, not sure why Higgins took it to heart, big fan of both as players. Hendry will give praise if he thinks someone is playing well and pick holes in what he thinks might me wrong, better than being vanilla and not saying it incase someone doesn't like it

Higgins did listen to the king of the Crucible. Winning the players championship. Higgins was playing at a quicker pace.

I love snooker, I used to watch it a lot when I was living in london. the funny thing about it is that a lot of great players (hendry, higgins, williams, ronnie and others like mc mannus) speak with real strong accents and they are so difficult to understand for foreingners like me. but it its part of the charm of this game and of the UK.

Wanna see hard to watch? Watch Hendry try to make a 50 break on snooker tips during the last 10yrs. Has a hard time making 3 balls in a row meanwhile Higgins has just won 2 of the last 3 tournaments in the modern age of snooker at basically 50yrs old.

John shouldn't be still playing the game in my opinion. That is nothing against him personally as I think he is a likable person. However, how he didn't get a life long ban after that sting operation I honestly don't know. It's a real shame it happened because without doubt, the incident has tainted his career in most people's eyes I believe
