I ordered the new iPhone 14 pro and was trading in my S21 Ultra which Spectrum was going to give me almost half the price of the new phone for. The new iPhone came in and I played with it for a while and the camera was great but the 15x zoom left me feeling so disappointed. Also being visually impaired the smaller size was inconvenient for me as I had to scroll whereas on the S21 Ultra I could actually read. Well I may well be the first person to return the iPhone 14 pro and keep the S21 Ultra which I definitely liked better!

I've had the s21 ultra (exynos) for a year now, and it's definitely the most premium all-round phone I've owned.
I've had/have alot of phones, and this beast beats them all 💪.
Have to say I get anywhere between 8-11 hours sot that's with 120hz and wqhd.
Even with the s22 ultra coming out it's made me appreciate my s21 ultra more, I much prefer the design of my ultra over the box note 22 ultra 🤷‍♂️.

I have this phone for about 4 Months and I'm surprised with the battery life on this device I'm getting for about 9 Hours of battery life with max settings like WQHD+ resolution 120 HZ and I do some gaming + some other activities like social media etc. THIS PHONE IS JUST AMAZING. (Exynos variant).

As for the exynos, according to a Mr.Whosetheboss video the Exynos for once actually matches the SnapDragon version within about 5%, which is leaps and bounds better than the differences from previous years.

For those of you looking into purchasing an S21 Ultra, def try getting the SD 888 version. Battery life's gonna be about 10% better for most people, better sustained performance, and a better overall camera(yes, even the camera performance is a lil different between the SD 888 version, and the Exynos 2100).

I love this phone. It feels good in my hand and is so smooth while scrolling and doing other things on it. The battery drains faster than the iPhone 13 pro max but it still makes it through the day with 30% left with heavy use.

I decided to sell my Pixel 7 Pro and get an S21 Ultra yesterday. I found a 16GB 512GB model on eBays certified refurbished store in excellent condition for $539. Comes with a one year warranty too. Its a slimmer design, and as you mentioned the frosted back feels so much better in the hand. It was also a lot more stable and battery life was better. The only thing I am worried about is shutter lag with my kids but I may just have to use GCam to work around that.

Damien, awesome video as always. One question. I saw a clip of you showcasing the home screen and i realized you were using a launcher. Do you have any problems using gestures with a launcher? Every single time i swipe up to go to the home screen, my screen always glitches and kind of re-springs and then comes back and also trying to swipe up and hold to use the multitask, it just takes like 3 seconds to show up (only using launchers + nav gestures). Do you face this problem? Thanks mate.

I would agree with you at least in a short term that the Exynos and the Snapdragon's performance is imperceptible. Unfortunately, in a long gaming session you see the Exynos heats up substantially higher than the snapdragons do and thus throttling occurs and it's this throttling occurs and it's this that results in reduced framerates. Furthermore, the Exynos SoC has a significantly higher idle temperature which is one of the biggest contributing factors to the reduced battery performance that has plauged the Exynos series. Supply chain limitations make it nigh impossible to meet global demand though, so a 2 chipset solution is likely to remain for the foreseeable future.
