Hey man i started to start my Smart Home. I started out with Apple TV Device so

I love the look of the Homekit Eco system. It's biggest downfall is there is no screen based devices in the Apple world. No Google Nest Hub etc.

I don't want to use my main 65" TV as the device that controls and can view camera's etc. I want to spread that responsibility across the devices in my house.

Let's hope 'Matter' when it arrives provides a solution to these issues. Then I will happily move to HomeKit
