How to Increase Impressions and Views on YouTube in 2025 - Even if You Suck

If you're a small channel, then having the ability to reduce the competition in 2025 is absolutely essential. yeah, I've disabled all tags and focussed more on title and description, one of my new video has just started dominating the Retro Synthwave search, if my competition don't launch a live I'm at the top of search, Thanks Brian! and I've dominated that search for over a week now and views are picking up!

What is this "easy mode" factor on YT? I don’t get it. A number of YT commentators say ít now… But the best time to start YT is now (since five years ago is no longer available). YT is not “easy” . There is also much more competition now than ever. YT has said multiple times ít is favoring small channels more now. I’ve heard it before. I find this hype term inappropriate and irritating.

I am a firm believer in key word phrases. I try to think about what an average person would type in the search field and that is what I use for my keyword phrase.

I’m changing it up a bit by narrating my painting videos as I paint. Rather than creating a voice over afterwards, which usually includes a lengthy process of creating a script first, then recording that and puzzling it into the painting footage. Pros to the voice over though is that it sounds more put together and allows for some thought out educational info.
The yammering of me whilst painting can be less put together, a bit messy, not overly smooth or well thought out, but is more realistic, honest and true to myself and how I work.
The video is still in the editing phase and won’t go public on my channel until later this month, but I’m curious to see how it ‘performs’.
