ive been meaning to read emma for ages, i really liked the 2020 movie. clueless is one of my favourites and i always knew it was based on emma but when i seen the 2020 movie it was crazy actually how much they have in common

I think it makes sense to find the film okay. If you didn't like the book it makes sense to dislike the characters still, but I'm glad it was easier to follow. I DNFed this film unfortunately. I like the book a lot, but the film didn't feel like a good representation of the film at all, and the main cast felt wrong for it.
