A walking tour of Downtown Houston at night (Discovery Green)

Downtown Houston has a lot of energy, excitement, arts and culture. There are a lot of corporate headquarters and major companies filling up the skyscrapers that line the sky, with a big emphasis on oil, gas, and energy. The Houston Astros stadium is right there downtown at Minute Maid Park and The Houston Rockets stadium is also downtown at the Toyota Center.

After I parked downtown I heard some music and followed it and discovered Discovery Park. It's one of the largest parks in downtown Houston with playgrounds for kids and food and even kayaking during certain times of year. They have Thursday Night Concerts on a stage at Discovery Park where you can find a bunch of people on the lawn enjoying the free live music.

After checking out Discovery Park I went to The House of Blues, which is located within the Greenstreet mall, where you can also find the Walk of Fame featuring Houston sports. I found my way to the Foundation Room at the House of Blues to check out the music of Bex and Fox Mouth and I played a thirty minute set up there for a supportive crowd. Good times.
