The hotel my husband works at in Bar Harbor just hosted a big craft fair this past weekend, and they do raffles for 2 trees done like this. He won one of them! I got a lot of very nice hand crafted things, some non hand crafted things and several gift certificates! This log cabin is gorgeous!

That's a lovely idea. We went to see the Christmas lights in the Plaza last night. The lights will stay on trees for a couple of months which is really cheerful during the winter days. Thanks for sharing the Christmas traditions from your part of the world.
