How to Install Custom ROM on OnePlus 6!

OnePlus 6 custom ROMs do require certain steps different from normal Android smartphones, especially on Android 9.0 Pie ROMs. In this video tutorial I outline the following steps to ensure your custom ROM boots and also camera/sound works flawless. This is one of the "quirks" of installing ROMs on the OnePlus 6 but with this method you will be able to install ROMs and make them work flawless. Download files here:

*For anyone having issues with Contacts/Phone app*
I installed the latest Syberia OS, got it running with Max's tutorial and it worked but in my case contacts & phone app would not respond and would keep crashing every 2 seconds.
The way I fixed it was by doing a factory reset wipe in TWRP (default wipe) after flashing gapps and the zip folders.
Then when system boots it will take you through the usual Gmail set up and (in Max's words) "boomshakalaka".

Notice: you might need to re-flash Magisk Manager after this process. No biggie.

Hi max, I was trying to install syberiaos on my one plus 6 and I accidently wiped the internal storage and I got the error "no os in the system on twrp". So I went through your video on copying data to your phone via adb fastboot and I copied syberia os into my phone using fastboot and I tried installing it and it is still giving me no os error. I have tried it 3 4 times still device is not booting to the custom Os. It is booting to twrp directly. I tried booting to bootloader and I clicked on start to boot to OS still it booted to twrp. Please help

How can we change the Hydrogen OS to Oxygen OS in OnePlus 6? I have tried to install Official Oxygen OS build by going to system update then local update, it said the version of your selected package is lower than that of the current system (my current OS is the original hydrogen that comes with OP6). Can you please help me?
