I was fortunate enough to spend some time with Phil when he was at Hampshire, I was in the nets there and he came in, spent some time with me to help me with my batting. Funnily enough it was the cut shot, I can't play the cut shot to save my life but I spent a good hour or so with Phil working on my batting and having a chat with him and he didn't have to come and do that but I think it just shows the kind of guy he was that he chose to spend that time trying to help me and after he finished with me he did the same with a few other lads. He was such a great bloke and a huge loss to cricket and the world in general. RIP mate, hope you're scoring lots of runs up there boof. My hero.
