'Bird Week' is one of the cruel people who probably sell pigeons to horrible racing industry's. My pigeon, Apollo, was found on our driveway one morning. He was a former racing pigeon, and we kept him since his owner didn't want him anymore because he couldn't fly. His worth was in his wings, not that he was a living breathing animal with thoughts and feelings. 'Bird Week' is exactly like that guy. The pigeons are money to him, not actual living creatures. Instead of breeding, people should be adopting pigeons from shelters. Not putting more into the world. It's just a fact.

PIGEONS DESPERATELY NEED HELP !!

90% of pigeons in cities die in their first year of their lifes. The others don't live longer than 2-3 years.
In nature, they can live up to 12-15 years !

They have nothing to eat, they are forced to eat trash and they freeze to death.

Pigeons can NOT live naturally in cities. They are only here because of breeders !!

This is ALL bunk. Don't trust everything you see on the internet, and he is being very rough on those birds. The only one that is somewhat true is the first one. But even then, in captivity, you get situations where pidgeons will pair up in same sex couples, and sometimes one bird will behave like a male or female when they aren't. I've had pidgeons for years, and talk to a lot of pidgeon owners.
