Begum Hazrat Mahal was a powerful warrior queen of Awadh {present-day, Lucknow} who fought the first war of Independence of 1857. She entered the palace of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah as a Courtesan, but soon she was ranked among the most important ladies of the Awadh Dynasty. Eventually, she became the QUEEN OF AWADH as the Begum Hazrat Mahal.

But it was not an easy journey, she lost many of her near ones in defending her country. Everyone knows the Queen Of Jhansi but not everyone knows about the Queen of Awadh.
