An new Armored Core also seems like it solves a business problem: it helps deflate expectations after Elden Ring sold 17+ million copies. It’s unlikely that the next thing From would do would meet the same level of sales. An Armored Core game, a proven title with a long legacy but a known somewhat niche market, would help avoid “From stumbles with follow up to Elden Ring” headlines.

I've told my friends numerous times that if Bloodborne got a sequel, I would actually cry, but going back to Sekiro after Elden Ring, having a Sekiro 2 might get a similar reaction outta me. I love how unapologeticly weird it is in throwing stuff at you like the guy on the kite, the fakeout with the Guardian Ape, or the weird catfish people that kick the ball at mach speed.

I do love when FromSoft diversifies their games. They are all still similar and punishing but still so different. It’s the same reason people wish for a Bloodborne 2!

I just hope sooo much that the we get the Armored Core announcement...maybe we even get 2(ok im a bit too optimistic) game announcements, AC and the dlc/Sekiro 2.

Also another thing speaking for Armored Core is, that fromsoft made a post that they are hiring on many positions. There they said something about wanting developers experienced in mech design.

FromSoftware had job listings for robot / mech modeling and animation. So I’m convinced it’s a new armored core game they work on. But that doesn’t mean they don’t have more projects going.

I am at the point now with From Software that I just don't really have any preference to what they make next. They can make whatever they want and I will be as hyped as hell for whatever it is. If they don't want to make another Elden Ring, Bloodborne, or Sekiro ever again, I am perfectly fine with that. If they continue to make brand new IP bangers as good as said three games, then I will be immensely elated and hyped every time. They have the sort of goodwill cache from me that is reserved for no one else other than Hideo Kojima.

Sekiro is my favorite game like no other game is even close to it so a Sekiro 2 is like my biggest dream, hope it happens, as you said the combat system is something so unique to let it die in a single game.

Isshin the sword saint is an amazing fight, but Genishiro is THE FIGHT. Genishiro is a masterclass on teaching a player how to play with only gameplay. Once you beat him you feel like you went into the hyperbolic time chamber for 1 year.

God I'd love a Sekiro sequel. They could make it a prequel with Sejiko/Sculptor or wrap up the story with the hidden ending where Wolf and the Divine Child head to the origin place of the Divine Dragon. The combat was very enjoyable, and it was a fun game to replay
