Charles Barkley and Inside the NBA have been a staple of sports media for decades. Unfortunately...the 2024-25 NBA season will be the final year for Charles Barkley and Inside the NBA...as Adam Silver has rejected TNT offer to continue broadcasting the NBA.

We discuss the tragic ending of Inside the NBA...and what led to Adam Silver decision to remove the NBA from TNT. We criticize TNT executive David Zaslav...for allowing his ego and arrogance to ruin his relationship with Adam Silver. We also explain why TNT will struggle to survive...and why Inside the NBA wouldn't be the same on another network.

NBA has been on a downfall. I know a LOT of big basketball fans that totally lost interest in recent years. They now live for College basketball. They always had, but now they have little to NO interest in the NBA. Now im 45, so im talking about friends of mine who watched the NBA for decades... they NO longer watch it. I dont watch it either. I lost interest. Add on the whole Bronny BS this year, its a joke to me. Its not what it was in the past. I grew up on 80s and 90s NBA. Totally different game. No comparison. Players did NOT flop. Players were MEN. Players played most if not ALL the games. Go grab some baseket ball cards from the 90s. Yes there were injuries. But look at the back of the cards. Look at how many games the players played. You got players in the current NBA who want to play less games.... yet these guys are getting paid like never seen before.... I feel for the fans who spend a lot of $ to go see their team, only to see their stars sitting on the bench.

I just cant watch the flopping and laziness of the game. You did NOT see that in the NBA i grew up on. Even in the 00s, the game was good. Id say in the last 10 years ? or so. Things have changed and continued to change and now its so far from what it once was, im not sure there is any way to save this league. But as the ratings show, there is a reality to the "changes" the league has made in recent years. Its NOT working. Ill be happy when Lebron retires and some of these current diva's retire and we get to see and focus on some of these younger players. Anthony Edwards being one of them.

I try thru out the season to watch the NBA. I prob tried to watch about 25 games total. Each time, i had to change the channel. The flopping got to me, its unreal these guys acting like sallys. These guys claim they are better than players of the past ! Try playing Rodman, or Lambeer. I want to see these guys try to deal with a prime SHAQ. Its a lot of trash talk from this current league. Yet these guys stub a toe and they are out 4-6 weeks. Hell look at the Clippers ! How many millions have they paid Leonard and George etc ? Just saying. Its a bunch of Diva's, they have little interest in the game and all the interest in the world for the fame it brings.

Call me old and grumpy, but the NBA today has NOTHING on the game of yesteryear. Its now a 3pt contest and a lot of flopping and arguing with refs. There is no fluidity in the game. Because the whistle is blown every 30 secs.

You want to watch basketball, watch College. But they are starting to ruin that sport with the portal shit. When Uconn's Dan Hurley is more concerned about getting a player who he knows will simply stay, yet alone play. Theres an issue brewing in college basketball. I hope they dont ruin what they got with all this BS. But it maybe already too late.

I absolutely love the chemistry between Mr. B., Shaq, Kenny & E.J.! I am very upset they will be done. They all exposed their true opinions. Their unfiltered candor & even sharing sad personal experiences is what made this show incredible! Nothing shocks me now in the climate of today, but I'm still very upset over the end of this show!

Warner Bros deserves huge embarrassing failure. They seemed to ruin everything they own streaming service/movies, NBA, Discovery merger, etc.

Another reason viewership has dropped is because there's hundreds if not thousands of choices to select from that have nothing to do with sports.

It's best that TNT and the NBA part ways. While people love EJ, Kenny, and Charles, they will not be around for the entire 11 year deal. For the most time of the deal, they will have left by then. You can't compare the current show to what it will be 11 years from now. The NBA costs too much for them, so it's time to move on. And if TNT focuses more on their other content and make a profit without turning into another MTV, that's good for them and other networks. It should be that the NBA needs TNT more than TNT needs the NBA.

You’re wrong about the CEO for TNT And Warner. The NBA has been diminishing returns for years. He sees the trend and is getting out while he can. It’s a smart business move. Where it’s not smart is you lose the marquee of a large sports brand but again, visuals aren’t his responsibility, bottom line is.

NHL would be the only thing worth while on TNT now

How about Silver's arrogance wanting triple the fee? if that in fact is the correct number. I don't care one way or another, stopped watching years ago, with no intention to return.

This contract is a last gasp effort for networks to survive. Commercial television is dead.

Well, at least, we still have 1 last season of the show to enjoy. Well done WB, enjoy the failure in the near future.
