I'm a Pats fan but Bill isn't the greatest GM of all time...best coach? Yes of course but he's not the best GM. He traded away our all pro LB and all pro DE(who just won the sack title) for next to nothing. Edelman is like the only good WR he's ever drafted and he drafted edelman they didn't even know what they would do with him. He's not the best GM he's just the best at coaching the guys he's got.

I think he'll stay mostly because he can still be a good coach & an effective coach & GM into his 70's & 80's and that is what could tip the scales in his favor in regards to the Kraft family. Brady will outlive his usefulness in at least 3 years & then he'll be gone one way (trade) or another (retire). So the dynasty as Patriots fans know it will come to an end, however i don't think it'll be a dramatic drop & they can always bounce back once Brady is gone.

If however both are gone within that 3 year time frame.. that will be problematic for the franchise. I think Belichek can almost work with any QB at this point in his career & be fine. i don't know if the same could be said about Brady
