Hello internet, Reinventing the classics is a new series of videos that takes care of modernizing old school & classic sound designs.
In each episode, I'll create a new patch based on one of these classic sounds using both a modern synthesizer like Serum, Pigments, Vital etc... and bitwig's grid.
In this first episode we're starting with the classic SAW Sweep.

Enjoy 👽

just recently got Bitwig, and one amazing thing you can do is on a frequencyknob, instead of typing the frequency value, you can also just type the note like C 3, and it'll change to the correct freq :D

Great tutorial - especially the modular part. Seeing the ingredients of the patch separately next to each other makes you wonder which other techniques/modules could be used instead to evolve the sound from its origin. Very inspiring!

Another nice video. Something I like to do is sweep things in opposite directions.. the first serum example.... sweep the phaser filter up whilst sweeping the BP filter down... or vice versa.

Also i'm loving that MF phaser sound in bitwig... would probably make the basis of a good wavetable.

Great tutorial always learning with you, By the way you can TYPE the actual *note* on the knob, don't forget to remove the *Hz* when typing
