Remember: if you dont like lazy dudes just mooching off, hiding in bugged areas not doing anything, play solo. Its the most pearls you can get in an endurance if they are looking solely for you.

That is Merulina's 'head', not a hand. The board has a cone shaped mass of water protruding from its front instead of a round boarder. You can check her wiki page's media tab to see several pictures including a captura of her and Hydroid that shows Merulina's water-head. To be fair, you rarely see the front of Merulina in-game.
