Pay attention to the requirement that the push subscriber endpoint MUST have both a DNS name and validated SSL certificates. As of 2021-04, self signed certificates are not supported.

Seems like Pull will be directly done by a real consumer.
Whereas Push will be done to another on-premise Kafka instance, from where it will finally be pulled by the real consumer.

Ifou are configuring your Cloud Pub/Sub subscription, assuming that all requirements are met, which subscription delivery method offers better 'near real-time' delivery of messages? Pull or Push?

I need to trigger payment calculation once the order is delivered. This event can be more than 1/sec. If I put pull in use, how do I ensure that for one delivery payment is not happening for more than once? Or should I put PUSH mechanism, backed by a cloud function or app engine? Why does it need to SSL only? SSL alone cant be considered as secure way. What if that endpoint get DDoS attack? Cant PubSub do something within the NETWORK (VNET)? Going via internet is weird!!
