Nerf Elite Dart Rover

The Dart Rover is marketed as an official elite dart sweeper. Not bad for Rival rounds too. Unfortunately it requires ground that is near perfect and even then does not always function properly.

I did try it indoors. It's comparable to the flat outdoor surface I test and, as I mention, it's not completely terrible on an ideal surface. But it still ripped at dart foam and heads. And yes, obviously it works better when you don't fly over ammo but even my rolling wasn't that fast. How can I recommend someone buy this when it isn't reliable at a normal speed?

Just hilarious, that intro was great! The Rover... Not as much, but being a YouTuber pertaining to foam stuff myself, I'll give it a go for content reasons. More to warn others to stay away most likely.

We face the same challenges, and use some of the same tools, when trying to retrieve brass from shooting competitions. Surface makes a big difference on what will work. But, sometimes the best method is just to bend down and hand pick. I don’t think the Dart Rover will help with Brass anymore than it would will with Darts 😉 Thanks for the review Beret. - Jed 🤠

I think we need a pickup tool that uses _brushes_ instead of hart plastic teeth, and has larger diameter wheels.

All jokes aside, I really think that a more efficient version of this device can be made for maybe an additional 10-20 dollars. The idea has so much potential, but it has a very flawed execution. Maybe a larger handle, a closed basket, and a more reliable extraction mechanism would make this product more...useable. Also you have to take into account this cost them like $2 to make.
