What if… Sega would have taken Sony up on their offer to co develop a console BEFORE the PlayStation 1 released? Think Sega regrets this decision??

The christmas my parents sonehow got us a PlayStation was one of the most amazing moments. I try every year to give my son that moment no matter where i am in life. I got him his first phone when he was 7. He opened it. Started crying and ran over and hugged me. I realized finally gave him a moment better than my fussy PlayStation. And man, i played the crap out of my PS1. My parents git me colony wars which was such a great game. I didnt have a memory card wnd right away rented resident evil 2. I stayed up playing until 6am becuase i couldn't save, but eventually had to shut it off and sleep. Enjoyed every second of replaying it when i got a memory card. Then i was finally able to get ny favorite game. Castlevania, symphony of the night. Almost 30 years later i still play it and it's still one of my favorites.

What's interesting is that, Sega of America was practically on board with the partnership, but Sega of Japan shot down the deal.

Little did they know that this decision would bite them in their ass later on.

I remember when the Sega Cd came out.. Nobody really got it because the first PlayStation dropped that year..It did exactly wat the Dreamcast did when the PlayStation 2 came out.

Just a few minutes of playing Sewer Shark and Dragons Lair was frustrating enough to make me never play that thing ever again. ...and I BEGGED my parents to get it for me because the commercials made it look so awesome.

I thought Sony wanted to make a CD deal with Nintendo and that's how we got the PlayStation.
