This is the world-class standard when it comes to public speaking.

1 impact moment per minute.

Think about an engaging presentation or speech you listened to...

Now think about a bad presentation you've sat through... you most likely dozed off or disengaged.

The difference is the amount of impact moments spread throughout the presentation to keep you engaged.

I know this sounds way overboard, but think about how important and high stakes the presentation is to you, and adjust accordingly!

As the speaker, you are taking everyone who is listening to you on a roller coaster ride, and a roller coaster thats just a straight line is going to be boring

Impact moments are like adding turns to that roller coaster. Twisting, dropping, and ascending that creates excitement but too much can lead to nausea.

The key to good impact moments is using different kinds of impact moments and how they transition from one another to create "impactful balance"
