Being from the Appalachian foothills this was sown into my blood. I can close my eyes and go back to to the warn out pew in our little Pentecostal church Harbor lights .
Melvin Bridge was the pastor, a old man on fire for the Lord, he'd strum that old guitar so hard the strings would pop before the sermon started.

My grandma always kept a piece of gum and some snacks in her purse for me and a pen and paper to keep me settled down after playing alongside the pastor, about every song we played was a combination of G, C, AND D .

I was kin to the whole church and after service we all went to mamaws house to eat the best food on this side of Appalachia .

Laughter and the smell cigarettes and coffee filled the air .
You could never focus on what any one person was saying cause everyone was talking at once but that worked for my folks .
Id give anything to be surrounded by family again .

These songs bring me back to that peaceful feeling but leaves me longing for a place that's nearly forgotten by those that lived a similar past.

Anyway just wanted to get that out .

Take care folks

No two could do a better than job with this song as the Stanley brothers.

This is actually traditional "Bluegrass" Gospel music - by The Stanley Brothers which is confused by many a folk today of being classic country. Nonetheless I agree with you and Love it too!
Have a good one!
