Reggae is a vibe, before it is a style. as with all black music, its all about the feeling. and this band has the certain something that makes for great reggae music. it is deceptive in its simplicity . but that particular pocket is hard to get perfect. and easy, as a lot of non-soulful musicians demonstrate, to get horribly wrong. Midnite is quite simply the best doing it right now.what gets called dance hall is not reggae as far as i am concerned. its one of the mutants that came from it.
