Destroying Portal with Item Save Glitch

I think I have found the stupidest bug in portal, how did I not know about this until now, it's not even that hard to do. Such a terribly beautiful game - with a few critical oversights.

If you are willing to try the glitch you should consider those things :
-1st, it is not that easy to get the cube in the state that allows you to do the glitch
-2nd When you get the cube in the right spot, I'll suggest making a save just in case because the radio can be a bit funky and ruin the cube placment
-3rd it can take a while to get the radio to glitch
-4th the glitch will stay active, even if you change savefile, the only way to get rid of it is by closing the game and restarting it

I got this glitch accidentally in the first rattman den in chamber 16 when trying to get one of those metal blocks through a portal

Some tidbits on the present version of the game:
1. Turrets don’t harm you.
2. If you place a portal on a wall, all props directly in front of it will no clip through the floor.

WOAH the cube floating across the floor! I did it on accident once and couldn't figure out how to replicate it. wild stuff.

Wow, if someone wants to explain the math behind this, i'd love to know. Why is it that even though collisions seem broken, when he's launching props himself on to the floor, why are they levitating halfway through the floor? Shouldn't they just fall through the collider? Are their colliders even disabled or in some strange state?

i found this glitch on accident years back as a kid breaking the game for fun, i adore this glitch

I came across something similar to this when playing, but all the physics props just fall right through the floor if you touch them. It also makes the orbs from the portal gun stick around when shot at doors.

i was expecting the glitch that allows you to use any physics object to stuck a button pressed, but this is much more silly

seems like they cheated with physics a little for object collision inbetween portal to make it easier to compute or make gameplay better or something and when you do that edge thing it is applied to every objects. god i love portal

I had something very similar happen to me when my Xbox 360 had problems reading the disc (disc drive was dying)... it even had glitched out rainbow textures and everything, and yeah, objects bouncing around half-phasing through the floor.

I think I once got it to happen by just spawning way too many cubes using the "spawn cube" cheat? (which on 360 is a button combination) Not sure anymore.

I somehow got this glitch completely on accident an the switch version and i dont know how to fix it. I tried restarting the level and even closing the game, but it still does it. I can beat test chamber 17 because the cube doesnt even show up when its supposed to be released.
How di i fix this?
