I had an urge to look up Bagpuss on YouTube and I found The Marvelous Mechanical Mouse Mill! This is the episode I remember the most of. Haven't seen it in at least 15 years, had it on VHS tape, probably have that tape somewhere.

The mice lifting the bags of breadcrumbs and butter beans and going "heave, heave, heave" never gets old.
