In 2010, it had been 12 years since Booker-prize winning author had been out of hiding from Iran's fatwa, issued over his book, "The Satanic Verses." Steve Paikin took the opportunity of the publication of Rushdie's second children's book, "Luka and the Fire of Life," to also chat about the nature of storytelling, and literature's influence on politicians, governments, religions - in particular Islam - and on society. It's quite possible that Rushdie's experience living in the shadows informed many of his opinions then, and now.
