What I’ve noticed that is different in Good Kid’s cover is that Laufey is a silent jealously to their crush, while Good Kid feels more like a confession.

I love that mixing the OG and the cover really sounds like two people are in love but don’t know the other likes them so they haven’t confessed but it’s not a sad song, they’re singing out of pure love. And despite how GoodKid turning the OG into well, rock since that’s the kinda band they are lol, it somehow works even if Laufey sounds a little quiet. Otherwise though, amazing mashup. Glad the band noticed too!
