In celebration of 400 years of the Dutch in New York City (2024), this program highlights music from the late Dutch Golden Age. Echoing the subtle palettes of de Lairesse and Vermeer, the warmth of the string ensemble is adeptly utilized by the Dutch Baroque composers, in particular Benedictus Buns and Carel Hacquart. Works by Wilhelm and Hellendaal complement the gentle glow of the more nuanced compositions with lively and dazzling technical showmanship.

Ich fuhr mich über Rheine (Jan Pieterszoon Sweelinck (1562–1616))
Padovane en gagliarda 10 (Cornelis Schuyt (1557–1616))

La Ciagogna from Opusculum Primum (1678) (Philippe van Wichel (1614–1675))
Trio Sonata Op. 8, No. 7 in F-sharp minor (1699) (Benedictus Buns (1642–1716))
