I don't know if this was intentional but this song really resonated with me being demisexual. I spent my 20s thinking I was boring for not wanting to have lots of sex and one night standss like everyone else my age. I remember having a big pathetic crush on a guy that consumed my every thought. I went to a bar down the street from my apartment. This guy who was objectively nice and handsome started talking to me. We then started making out. I thought "yes..this will help me get over the other guy. .Finally I am being a cool fun hip young person like everyone else my age in NYC". But I felt absolutely nothing. I then went home and sobbed really hard over the guy I had a crush on. It's very validating to know that there are other people out there who feel the same way. And it's a mark of a really talented songwriter who could put those feelings into words.

I was hoping you’d release this song, when I saw your reel on Facebook, because it’s such a raw honest song of how I feel when you like someone and the only thing that matters is talking to “that” person.
