50 Fun Facts About Yellowjackets

First vid of the new year! A new year in which we will probably trying to take a harder lean into horror media. Then again, we did still sneak a superhero fun fact in there. Season 3 coming out Valentine's Day and I simply can't wait 😎 It would be fun to do another 50 facts eventually, maybe after season 3 finishes and I find out where to read more of the scraped pilots.
Also was watching Pop Culture Jeopardy and Yellowjackets was one of the answers and it made me very happy 😊 that's sure to be on another 50 fun facts list and all the Alice in Wonderland theming. Anyways... ✌️

This is a fabulous series. It has it all. Great writing, cast, direction, cinematography, and soundtrack. Cannot remember the last time I saw a series when I cared so much about the characters. We know they have done and seen horrific things, making questionable life decisions along the way, yet we root for them anyway. Amazing how they were able to cast young actors, who parallel their older counterparts so perfectly. It is also a great accomplishment how they are able to switch scenes from the past to the present back and forth without losing any interest from the viewer or continuity in the overall story.

Great list. I'm dying for season three! I'm just about done with a rewatch of the first two seasons and the show is still just as good. The cast, the soundtrack, the THEORIES! This show is just too fun.

The Misty sensory deprivation tank scene is a homage to David Lynch ('Twin Peaks'), who died recently. It was a very interesting interlude and definitely lightened the mood.

Elijah and Melanie were also in another Cartoon Network show called summer camp island. Elijah played a yeti named saxophone while Melanie was the voice of the sun.

the reason periods sync up is because of phermones. its very much a real thing!!

The yellowjackets crashed November 3-4 not May-June. It was Autumn. That's why the lake was always cold and the deer were shedding and all these things that happen in autumn/winter were happening from early on in season one. I hate the theory that it was May/June bc of sports seasons too. Soccer season is not in summer/spring, it's a fall sport in america from what I've heard anyway. And it was homecoming not prom they were talking about in doomcoming, which is usually around September/october, but was stretched to November in-universe.

It's more likely they fudged the dates of certain school events than that they altered the seasons themselves, with Winter and first snow falling in November rather than JUNE. And deer shedding their antlers early due to stress of food insecurity and disease which would acount for the dead -but untouched- deer they found that hints at something other than predation because the cause of death, rather than that the deer shed all the way in May.

Also that joke Van made about it being beaver season would be hillariously spot on as beaver hunting season is typically in the fall and winter seasons when they are most physically active.
