IL TELAIO TUBOLARE DI QUESTA MONOPOSTO LO PROGETTAI E REALIZZAI PERSONALMENTE NELL’INVERNO TRA 1965 ED IL 1966 LAVORANDO IN TUTTI I SABATI E DOMENICHE ANCHE FINO A TARDA NOTTE. LA CARROZZERIA IN ALLUMINIO FU REALIZZATA PRESSO LA STYLAUTO DI ROBBIATE DAL MASTRO LATTONIERE GIOVANNI SCARABELLI ASSISTITO DAL GIOVANE APPRENDISTA LATTONIERE LUCIANO MOTTA. LA MECCANICA ADOTTATA FU QUELLA FIAT COME DA REGOLAMENTO. LA CURA DEL MOTORE FU AFFIDATA ALL’AMICO GIACOMO POZZONI. LE PRIME GARE DEL 1966 LE CORSI CON LA MONOPOSTO NON VERNICIATA, QUINDI DI COLORE ALLUMINIO, POI LA VERNICIAI DI ROSSO MA SUBITO DOPO DIVENNE BIANCA CON LE INSEGNE DEL JOLLY CLUB PER IL QUALE CORREVO. GAREGGIAI A MONZA ED A VALLELUNGA, SIA IN GARE DIURNE CHE NOTTURNE. VINSI PARECCHIE GARE ED IN TUTTE LE ALTRE MAI MI CLASSIFICAI OLTRE L’OTTAVO POSTO. SOLO EBBI UN RITIRO IN UNA GARA NOTTURNA A CAUSA DEL BLOCCAGGIO DELL’ACCELERATORE ALLA PARABOLICA. MAI EBBI INCIDENTI DI GARA. SOLO QUALCHE DERAPATA OLTRE LA NORMA NELLE PROVE ALLE QUALI MI SOTTOPOSI ASSIDUAMENTE ONDE ESSERE PERFETTO IN GARA. NEL 1966 MI CLASSIFICAI TERZO NEL CAMPIONATO CSAI, NEL 1967 VINSI LA COPPA CSAI PER MONOPOSTO F.MONZA. POI, DOPO DUE ANNI DI CORSE CON MOLTI SUCCESSI E QUANDO AVEVO GIA' ALLESTITA UNA F.3, IL DESTINO IMPERSCRUTABILE SCELSE PER ME UN’ALTRA STRADA!
THE TUBULAR FRAME OF THIS MONOPOSTO I DESIGNED AND BUILT PERSONALLY IN THE WINTER BETWEEN 1965 AND 1966 WORKING EVERY SATURDAY AND SUNDAYS EVEN UP TO LATE NIGHT. THE ALUMINUM BODYWORK WAS MADE AT ROBBIATE'S STYLAUTO BY MASTER TILMAN GIOVANNI SCARABELLI ASSISTED BY YOUNG TINSTER APPRENTICE LUCIANO MOTTA. THE MECHANICS ADOPTED WAS THE FIAT ONE AS PER REGULATION. ENGINE CARE WAS ENTRUSTED TO FRIEND GIACOMO POZZONI. THE FIRST RACES OF 1966 THE COURSES WITH THE UNPAINTED SINGLE-SEATER, SO IN ALUMINUM COLOR, THEN THEY PAINTED RED BUT IMMEDIATELY AFTER IT BECAME WHITE WITH THE SIGNS OF THE JOLLY CLUB FOR WHICH I RUN. I RACE IN MONZA AND VALLELUNGA, BOTH IN DAY AND NIGHT RACES. I WON SEVERAL RACES AND IN ALL THE OTHER I NEVER RANKED BEYOND THE EIGHTH PLACE. ONLY I HAD A WITHDRAWAL IN A NIGHT RACE DUE TO THE BLOCKING OF THE ACCELERATOR TO THE PARABOLIC. NEVER HAD RACE ACCIDENTS. ONLY SOME DERAPATIVES BEYOND THE STANDARD IN THE TESTS TO WHICH I ASSIDUELY SUBMIT IN ORDER TO BE PERFECT IN THE RACE. THEN, AFTER TWO YEARS OF RACES WITH MANY SUCCESSES, THE IMPERSCRUTABLE DESTINY CHOOSED ANOTHER WAY FOR ME!
