I don't fish and barely cook. I honestly don't even know how I found this channel. I can't stop watching your videos! So interesting, informative, and entertaining. Appreciate all the effort you put into them.

I'm in Alberta, Canada, and it would be awesome to go on a fishing, foraging and cooking episode with you and others in the future. It looks so awesome. Cheers, Taku and Jocelyn! ✌️

Biggest black bears in Alaska used to come from Prince Of Whales Island. Why? Mild weather, short winters, lots of berries and fish!

Kelp Chili Crisp is amazing and I'm so happy I can get it at my local World Market here in Cali. Jocelyn is simply glowing in this episode. Beautiful. You're a lucky guy Taku. What a trip. What a crew. Amazing.

You guys should reach out to Luke from The Outdoor Boys channel. He is super humble and loves the outdoors too and lives in Alaska. Could prob make some killer content together!

The white balls in the coho fillet is tapicoa disease (Henneguya salminicola). It's common in coho here in Washington. Sometimes just in the tail sections, other times all throughout the flesh.

I’ve watched you for several years-so glad you went to POW’S ISLAND!!! I’m from OREGON GO DUCKS but lived on POW in CRAIG late 80’s-90’s!!! Best memories and still have lots of friends who live on the island!! SO BEAUTIFUL there!! ❤❤❤

Some day you’ll have to meet up with NWFS there in Alaska, that way we can all hear, fish on baby, echoing out over the bay lol haha 😆

Since you are self guiding, you can keep two of any sized halibut. I'd take those pinks and catch a cow halibut. Use the whole fish for bait. If you go to another part of SE Alaska, you can self guide on larger enclosed cabin boats, like a Northriver.

Have ALWAYS had luck with pinks and silvers in "upstream" mode, but still in the salt with silver & orange Kastmasters. Chrome & blue too. Something about the action also gets trout upstream, too..😊
