For those that don't know if you hit a pothole and damage your vehicle the city or state is responsible for the damages. Stop call the police and file a claim against the state or city. You shouldn't have to pay for any of the damages because our taxes already pay for the road the city or state is responsible to maintain it.

The key part is to call the city and report your claim so the city can pay for the damage. You're a tax payer paying for the roads. Look up the rules and rights in your area.

I hit a 4 bedroom 3 bath pothole in my old focus I use to have once. Blew both passenger side tires and bent one rim and cracked the other. The town paid for the damage but still they should have had it fixed before it got as bad as it was.

Try living in Northern maine. I literally dodge potholes like landmines. On the bright side I've become really conscious of where my tires are on the ground.
