Land Rover Defender Global Window Opening / Closing with Lock & Unlocking - settings

In this video we show you how to change the setting so that all the windows open when you press and hold the unlock button on your Land Rover Defender keyfob for 3 seconds. And also the global close function will close all open windows when you press and hold the lock button for 3 seconds.

The Global Down works on my US 2022 EX, the but Global Up does not. Both are enabled in the settings.

I live in Australia and have just taken delivery of a Defender.
I have gone into settings and switched global setting for windows to open and close but can only get them to open not close, is there any other settings I need to go into?

Great videos, thank you for making them. I just got my Defender here in the US and I noticed when you lock yours, the mirrors do not fold. I cannot for the life of me find a way to enable that function on mine. How did you get yours to NOT fold the mirrors when you lock it?

Even in UK summer it’s nice to open the windows a minute before you climb into the oven.

in the us you can open with the remote however you cannot close with the remote you need to hold the handle lock button to close

I can select which windows to turn it on or off.

The rear right window for our defender opens and when the car's on but dose not close when it's on how do I do that

It opens and closes the sunroof too where fitted. The first time I tried this feature, when walking away from the car, the sunroof didn’t close properly - the first I knew about it was when the alarm went off a few hours later (fortunately it didn’t rain). JLR had to recalibrate the sunroof settings and I have had no issues since.

Do you think including the up/down, open/close option would be one to consider? Into making the rear boot/door a electronic retractable window.

Under new features with other rear boot/door improvement features previously suggested on your channel.For the Defender.

Not meaning the boot/door as a lid. But as a retractable window unlike the Discovery. which see it as a lid.

Excellent vid. as always - Disabling windows on global open is a good idea, but I would leave windows on with global close so you can never accidently leave a window open (different if you have a dog, I suppose).

I’m in USA and I have global open and it works fine but the global close feature does not work even though it shows it in the menu. My previous land rovers have all been like that as well.

Global Close NOT supported in very country. In Australia global open works fine but global close is blocked for safety reasons.
