This is a nice car for those on a budget. Cheap on gas. Easy maint. Very reliable.

This is pretty good for a family car. Good looks, good handling, low mpg, quite luxurious for its price, acceleration and top speed are some of the best in its price range, great interior and so on.

Why does everybody assume thus car is designed to go fast? I think that people who comment on how their old car is faster etc... are missing the point. It' s a fuel saving design that does well for being a fuel saving design/commuter car. Those that own new focus and are making comments... how's that transmission working out for you?

I have to say I like the way it handles. Added a K&N air filter and MPG went up considerably. Power increase was also noticeable. 1.8 liter 6 speed automatic. It feels rigid and steering response is great. Mostly in part because it's built on a larger platform than most in it's class.

For anyone that likes the Cruze, you should know it dominated in the WTCC. Most the races are on youtube if you look for'em. Great car, great price, great fun!

I actually am a fan of how it lucks, people always want something aggressive looking but this has that in subtle points like the headlights and it appeals to the young crowd and the older crowd I would believe

Thanks, InsideLine, for specifying which motor was equipped during this testing! Oh wait...you left that bit out. This is an extremely well built car that is so quiet inside it's ridiculous. It's not intended to be fast so all the haters please refrain from the silly comments. If they do an SS version of this car it will put the Speed3, GTI, WRX, and any other sporty econo cars to shame. This is unquestionably the nicest small car GM has ever produced and IMO nicest small car available in the US

Fun clean car to drive. No where near speedy but it has enough kick to get to point a to point b very smoothly.

I think this is the Ecotec which I believe is direct injection. It has variable valve timing. Is it a direct injection exactly, or is it a psudo version of it?

Wow everyone is complaining about the poor performance from the turbo. IT'S A 1.4L TURBO WHAT DO YOU WANT? It's not made for breakneck acceleration, it's made for fuel efficiency.

@halo0009 no, u can get a 6-apeed automatic on the Eco, it's a $950 option. Now if u want to say a 6-speed manual is standard than u are correct.
