Traxxas Maxx running 2 2s lipo batteries

hey i was wondering about that adapter it looks like to regular id connectors to one is there anything special about the grey one that connects to the esc or is it a regular traxxas connecter

Will traxxas 2s 5000 and 2s 5800 with pararell connection work on maxx? I wonder about the MAH differences or does it have to be exact identical ? Thx

How did it run on a bash session or on the track with the y splitter
