Hi, I'm Ashni!! I've been on #Twitch since 2013 and because of my amazing friends, I went full-time in 2015. I was terrible at it. And one day my sponsor called me on Skype and said: "There will be a lot of people who make it on Twitch, but it will never be you." So I stopped and learned as much as I could. Now I make content to help other streamers pursue their dreams and learn to stream, because he was right. There will be a lot of people who make it. And I'm going to help them.

I am now a professional #StreamCoach, full-time content creator, and Twitch Partner. The #YamFam is our community of streamers who are linking arms to take over the world. 😈 I also love business, travel, plants, and puppies.

Everyone's journey will be different, and everyone will have their own take on growth. Some come from just being on Twitch and some come from people who have business experience. The best advice is to take the best tips that apply to you and toss the rest. That's the reason why you go through 50 teachers before you get a job, or why you learn something everyday from different people, and not the same 4 over and over.

It's tough to say "Watch these TwitchTubers who have succeeded (and check out my book)" after making videos that give the advice of "Expand your brand and get on YouTube" and expect people to not take some offense to this. You have to remember, these new TwitchTubers may have watched you, learned from you, and may have applied your teachings along with their own journey to give their take on it.

New TwitchTubers are talking about how to succeed now. For someone who has cultivated a brand over the course of a few years, some of the teachings may not apply to newer creators.

I guess just be mindful of the message you're giving your Target Audience. They look up to you and want to emulate you (which is compliment not a detriment). Just my two cents though.

REAL TALK! What works for one doesn’t always work for everyone! We have to do our own thinking and experimenting to find out what works for our own selves. Great vid Ashni👍🏻

Brave to call out twitch help videos as the source of why others might not be succeeding by making one 😂

It's funny that this video came out about 12 hours after I posted my first-ever piece of streamer advice help content to my Twitter. 😖

"Be brave to be bad at the beginning."

This is the way. Coming from someone that lets perfection be the enemy of good for most of his life. The best way to learn is to DO, then fail, then try again. It all comes down to a matter of letting go of the illusion of 'the right time' because the right time is and always will be... right now.

As someone who averages viewers in the 20s range.. I always thought I could vlog / analyze my impressions as a streamer. Talking about things ppl don't realize comes with the gig
I.e. viewer / mod drama, cancel stream guilt, bit / donation guilt, the overwhelming size of the ever growing concern of suicide / depression of viewers..
I have stories man...

I barely started watching Ashni’s videos last night, but I like them. Not because what she says is true, but because she isn’t looking to say facts, she says what she does, how she does it, instead of saying what everyone does and what everyone did when they first started, she tells her own story instead of telling everyone’s.

Genuinely an interesting watch. I've always said take advice but don't be afraid to experiment. Every streamer is different. Someone who is a big streamer might have something for them that works but that night not work for others. I'm growing and I'm noticing how my content is improving. Theirs a lot I want to do and advice is essential for that but so is individuality.

Should I be streaming on twitch or youtube?

I have been struggling to pick a platform for me!

I've been saying this on Tiktok, people learned they can up their watch times by saying "Streamer Tips" and so many of them have little to no experience streaming and just give bad advice. It takes time to learn about streaming and it should be more than just regurgitating info they hear from others

As someone with both Sport Psychology and Performance Psychology degrees... you are spot on! More often then not, the best coaches, analysts, etc. are the ones that aren't performing (I.e. athlete, gamer, actor, etc.). I just love that you mentioned that because it isn't well known for some reason. Subbed!

I love this so much because I have been thinking that about all the videos I see! Thank you!

Can somebody help me, I’m a pretty new streamer and people join my live and don’t talk or anything and then just leave. It just makes me feel like I have done something wrong like I haven’t engaged them into my stream or something and I don’t really know what to do.

That's true for #1 - Information overload can easily lead to analysis paralysis.
