Been using this app for a few weeks now. It has completely changed the way I nice around on my Mac. I'm a designer, and use Figma for work, there's an extension that can just search files from my account and open them, has definitely doubled my speed of working if not more. So much potential in this app 👌😊

Now THIS is a freakin' scoop. Downloading now. I was just thinking earlier this week that while I have loved Alfred for a LONG time (Powerpack+ etc), I'm not *enough* of a developer to really configure the workflows how I want, and I would love to have something like Alfred, but like modernized to simplify some of those extensions. So this is a GREAT option here.

My reaction to Raycast was exactly the same one you had. It’s such a powerful tool, and it can also replace other long known utilities such as window management and text expansion.

Raycast has been the find of 2022 for me. I've replaced aText, Clipy, Rectangle, and (obviously) Alfred and Spotlight, all with Raycast. Factor in things like running system commands and my own personal shell scripts via hotkeys and your productivity goes through the roof. This app is epic. And free. 😲

I think Raycast is poweful but I still prefer Alfred as I feel I can achieve the same thing with less key strokes.
But I'll definitely keep an eye on it especially as the number of extensions in the store keep growing.

Wow! Great app. Is it accessible with Voiceover? It's a screen reader built into Apple devices. Their website seems to be really easy to navigate. :-)

Been using a Macintosh since 1988...professionally as a writer, editor, graphic designer, website designer...every day...don't like Spotlight much, but don't see any use for Raycast...must be some kind of luddite.

I have Alfred and don't use it, I didn't understand the searching for images, you go to google type what your searching for and hit images. You have tons of them, maybe your was more amazing or what you want for cool images. I also don't see my background picture while I work. Love the back ground image but why if I never see it other than when I login, which I never do. sleep is amazing, I have been looking for apps and have not found anything that makes me go nuts over them. Even those you pay don't make sense using.

I'd love to watch your video but can not possibly do it with that terrible background music -- makes my ears/brain scream. In fact, as soon as it started, I knew I had tried to watch one of yours before - and couldn't. I wonder how many other potential viewers with auditory issues you're losing. Thanks, anyway.
