I love prawn cocktail, don’t care what anyone thinks. I’m having my fam here, 7 adults so not a big deal. It’s Christmas Eve now and I’m roasting a marinated chicken and a turkey breast roll so they can be served cold tomorrow. We are also having prawns & crayfish, various salads, mini pavolas with various topping options, pudding for my Dad and StepDad and a fruit platter.

Edit: Your Christmas menu sounds yummy. I love a prawn cocktail, being a fellow 80s baby; it's damned tasty, and sounds like it would be a perfect starter for a summer Christmas dinner.

I'm in the northern hemisphere, so I'm doing a mostly traditional Christmas dinner, with one exception. We're having a big roast beef joint, because I hate turkey and there's no way in hell I'm putting in all that effort for something I don't even like. I put my foot down about a decade ago when I took over the family Christmas day cooking from my Mum, and it's so much less work than faffing about soaking, basting, and vainly trying to get some flavour and succulence into a turkey!

Anyway, I hope you have a wonderful Christmas, and I look forward to more videos in the New Year.
