Excellent videos on freepbx! as far as I'm concern, its a very good backup for a lot of people or great for small businesses.

Good video. Although I do not join channels, I will definately be looking for more of your videos. I watched this one to figure out what I am doing wrong that I can't pick up the incoming calls with no joy.

With the idiots out there on the Internet trying to break into my PBX box, I had to first set up the fire wall. I am using IP Tables for this. I see that you are including both your desktop's IP as well as your full sub-net. Isn't that a redundant entry. And, you did not include routes to your DID hosting provider. Is that not necessary with FreePBX's built in firewall? Can trunks automatically poke through the firewall? Also, can I assume by your presentation that FreePBX's firewall passes all udp traffic for the rtp protocol?

Followed video including Voip.ms can make outbound calls work fine but inbound gives me an error saying extension not in mycontext. I have google searched to no effect. the error actually say call from (my account no)xx.xx.xx.xx (voip.ms ip number) to extension 4176854007 (DID #) rejected because extension not found in context 'mycontext'. I am not making any headway on this thanks for any hints you can give.

Had to change context=mycontext to context=from-trunk it is now dialing in. Is this the proper fix or is there a better way. Thanks Ron

I'm using Zoiper on my Android phone. It works perfect locally but when I try to use it over VPN DTMF tones don't make it through so I can't navigate the IVR. I used Mizudroid and DTMF passed over the VPN without problem. Mizudroid bluetooth didn't work correctly so I tried Zoiper. Zoiper bluetooth works great but I can't navigate the IVR. Any suggestions? I'm stumped!
