For sanding technique - 10 strokes one way, turn it around, 10 strokes one way, turn it around, and so on. Not back and forth though. It works for me and is extremely accurate in keeping the bottom even and not sanded on the ends only.

Those guitars look to be in very good condition.  Good finds!  I like those old Yamahas.

Thank you for your useful tipps. Really nice playing at the end - quite inspiring. Just swapped my g-240 with a g-255.

9:40 what are these little stones? I've never seen that. Looks to me if string changing would be much more easy with them?

Hi Marco, I love Yamaha vintage guitars. I have some Yamaha like G225, G231II, G228 and G235II. I sold the G231II and G235II. Also I have two very wear Yamaha guitars: G220-1 and the top of line G280A. That series was only marketed for the japanese and asiatic market.

Nice video but volume is too low, can't hear what is being said.

Im late in here, but a ton of wisdom in this video. I play blues on nylon classical guitar, only problem is, when you lower the action the break angle of the strings is reduced and tone is affected.

What do you call the ending of strings at 9:10? It's a very interesting accessory.

Hi again, what tuner machine heads you recommend for my old yamaha G231? Can you do a video on measuring the Head Tuner Machine for proper replacement. I'm still having trouble with guitar staying tuned. The tuner machines look longer than the ones you recommend from ebay? Thank you

Hello, your video is great. But I have a guestion. Is a guitar playable at all if it is not intonated, if guitar does not have total intonation. For example, if we have optimal action and guitar is in tune in open string position, is that enough, or we need that also in 12th fret? Thanks a lot.

Hi. Thanks for the great explanation. I know the first piece you played was Carcassi but what the flamenco piece? It was brilliant.

When you say you use low tension strings, why is this? Does it not affect the neck if different strings are used than the ones the guitar came with?

Thank you. I viewed your work because it is specific to a Classical Yamaha Guitar. I am a beginner on G231 Yamaha with bad strings, nut and saddle. Are classical guitar saddles supposed to be flat or rounded?

Very nice video, very helpful, thank you for posting. Just wanted to ask out of curiosity, what are the names of the pieces you played at the end?

Hi, Thanks for your instruction video. I have lost the original saddle of my Yamaha G250-S and I have trouble in finding the right replacement bone saddle. What are the exact sizes of the saddle ? Does it have G-string compensation ?
