THE FIRST TAKE is a YouTube Channel dedicated to shooting musicians and singers performing in a single take.

In episode 528, pianist Hayato Sumino, winner of the Grand Prix of the Special Class of the PTNA piano competition during his graduate studies at the University of Tokyo with an extensive national and international performance career, makes his appearance on THE FIRST TAKE.
Sumino, who cultivated his distinct style by blending arrangement skills and technique honed through classical training with improvisation skills, and who adopts the moniker Cateen when he switches gears as a YouTuber, will perform an original composition titled “7 Variations on Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.” Inspired by Mozart’s “Variations on Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star,” this piece captivates with its many musical fascets, gradually increasing in difficulty as it advances from Level O to Level 7.
