You should compare the rate of misstatements or outright lying. There is no comparison between the two candidates. This analysis is a ridiculous false equivalency argument.

As a retired journalist, so disappointed that in 2024 journalists and papers like the NYT STILL don't know how to cover DJT. Hang up the traditional 'cover both sides and let the viewer/reader decide' taught in J-school. The paradigm in covering politics changed when he came down that escalator in 2015...

Parsing Trump's words as if they have any entropy at all. This is ridiculous.

A fact is a statement that can be verified. It can be proven to be true or false through objective evidence.
There is no such thing as a "misleadin" fact.
Grow a spine and say its either the truth or a lie.

Do better nyt. Making this a both sides is sick. Trump is explicitly clear in his intentions.

So, something he claimed she said, but never said, was misleading. And something she claimed he said, which he actually said, was also misleading, because he retracted it in writing after speaking to his advisors? These things are equally misleading? And the immense difference in the number of egregious false claims about the respective other is irrelevant? How?

A well presented synopsis, Ms Qiu. Two very different speakers, with comments made over a significant period of time. I believe that your assessment was very fair to both. Thank you.

People believe what they want to believe-- that's all there is to it. It's all filtered through emotion. And that goes for BOTH sides.

If you want to continue living like you are right now scrapping by trying to cover all your bills, then vote Harris. If you want a different outcome, a better outcome, more money in your pocket, vote for Trump. Put everything else aside about how you feel about Trump, the question is whether or not he can fix the economy faster than Harris, that’s how you should look at it.

Secondly, if Trump is elected, JD Vance can do his 4 years as VP, then turn around and do 8 years as POTUS starting at only 45 years old.

I didn't hear you say anything about the brief interview that the whole country waited on for almost 40 days. Trump is not afraid to take interviews. Vote for no war. Vote Trump.

i appreciate you showing both sides. i feel like trump does make more outrageous statements for sure like the journalist said, but any politician intentionally misleading people is wrong and i’m glad there are people fact-checking not just one person or “side” and making the content quick and easy to understand.
