the reason why BunnyFUFU flashed was because Thresh has a range on his lantern. If he were to just toss the lantern over the wall there might of been a chance that when he Q's again he would take the lantern with him without Gosu. He wanted to make sure GoSu got there without any mistakes and i feel the flash was needed in order for this play to happen.

IF THIS HAPPENED IN SILVER:

IF YOU ARE THRESH: No one clicks the lantern, you get reported for wasting flash.

IF YOU ARE THE ADC: Thresh misses the hook, flashes the wall anyways, no one clicks the lantern anyways.
