The issue is not viewers being opposed to Christianity. It’s about opposing America becoming a theocracy, preserving our democracy, and honoring our constitution which promotes the separation between Church and State.

Thats alot of words about the Family while missing the point entirely. The main issue, leaving their core worldview out of it, is that they provide the opportunity for connections to be made between nefarious international interests behind closed doors and off the record.

Did you actually watch it? No seriously, cause I don't know how anyone, religious or otherwise, can watch that or read those books and not be alarmed by the evidence presented. As someone who has actually been to a 'Fellowship' or 'Family' meeting in my hometown; yes this is serious and disturbing and we should all as americans be very upset about it.

I don't recommend this review. He left a lot of information and facts out, seems like the whole thing went over his head. I recommend everyone is is interested to watch the series /read the books and make their own mind up.

The part of Evangelicals losing all of their cultural battles like Abortion and Gay Marriage sure hasn't aged well.

Given the scandal with this group earlier this year it turns out the accusation of shady deals was pretty legit.

There are many fallacies in your review, besides the Lutheran Theology you mention which is de facto Catholic. You also water down the entire documentary and the books. I watched it, and read the books. The worst recommendation recommendation you give is "not to waste our time with it". Why? Let's people do their research and decide for themselves. I was actually a part of this group back in 2008. They mostly called themselves The Fellowship when I was there and they were definitely nefarious. Gaslighting, manipulation and emotional abuse were all part of my experience with them, and I’m still dealing with some of the fallout nearly 15 years later. I just learned about this docu-series, and I haven’t watched it yet, but I suspect a lot of the negative things said about them are probably at least partly true. I’ll try to remember to check back in with an updated opinion after I watch the series.

I am a Christian, Independent voter (technically no party affiliation per some states). In 2016 I voted for our planet and a physician to lead our country (Jill Stein’s Green Party). I say these things to provide clarity to my position. Politics and religion don’t mix well because many have been brought to light and found lacking.

The Family shows at 37:00 a man at podium speaking about his own beliefs, “everything invisible is permanent and lasts forever” when comparing his own ideology to a mafia. Or even earlier by making mention that organizations put together “He” makes invisible. This is not in line with a parable of a lamp under a bushel (bowl). Jesus’ words state to that which is hidden will be brought to light. When the mafia was brought to light it didn’t last very long so perhaps he simply foreshadowed his inability to interpret his demise.

If it's not illegal, doesn't mean that it's not wrong or worrying.
You can legally buy and drink as many bottles of liquor as you want, but it's not right to get drunk till you pass out every day.

Talk about missing the point. This isn't about Christian vs not Christian (they even rejected the label "Christian" as they believe they transcend the religion). Its about elected officials, meeting in secret, sometimes with other world leaders and perusing an agenda that is not their constituents.
