The Rode has a great sound to it. I liked your Micronic but this Rode is truly better. Your voice is cleaner I did not hear any hiss and barely any room echo was picked up. Fantastic mic for any vlogger to have! Brilliant video Dave.

I've been waiting for this review and it was well worth it. Thanks for posting it Dave! One thing I would of liked you to do was actually compare the Micronics microphone with this one as you do refer to it a couple times in this video.
My opinion on the sound of this microphone is that it is awesome and very clear with next to no distortion even if I crank the volume of my laptop to max. I do think the price is too high though as I would rather resort to a Micronics mic as apposed to the Rode alternative as the price is unreasonably high for the upgrade.
Keep up the awesome videos Dave! I'm sorry I could not come to your live stream. It was on my mind but when it happened I totally forgot.

Not a bad tool. Very expensive for anything but professional use. I use Audio Technica ATR-3350 myself. Works just as well. Granted not as flashy looking device but just as sturdy and the recordings are clean. Costs less than VAT alone on this Rode mic too.

You should have opened the extension cable and taken a look at the type and flexibility of the cable used. The mic cable looked quite stiff and unlikely to last.

Excellent quality - wouldn't mind using one alongside my Sony ECM-DS70 Stereo mic. I actually think this RØDE lapel microphone might be better

Nice presentation. I have the Rode you used, plus the Rode Pin Mic Lav. Both are just superb. I plug them into either a Zoom H4n or an H1 if filming another person as well as myself.
