Advance Directives are used in life-or-death situations where you're unable to communicate your wishes in the moment, or are no longer capable of understanding the gravity of your decisions. It's important to have an Advance Directive to ensure you receive the care that you want by helping loved ones by providing an end-of-life care plan.
