The Collapse of Cosmology's Sacred Cow, the Hubble Constant

Показать описание
Amidst the breathtaking vistas unveiled by the James Webb Telescope, a disquieting unease grips the realm of cosmology. Despite the splendour of these cosmic panoramas, discordant measurements suggest that the universe is not expanding at the anticipated rate. No longer can we attribute discrepancies solely to the limitations of the Hubble Telescope. Are we, perhaps, confronting a fundamental misunderstanding of the universe?

Halton Arp knew this decades ago and was banished from his beloved telescope

Halton Arp, author of "Seeing Red", has finally entered the conversation.

Halton Arp showed that red-shift is not a reliable measure of distance. P. Herouni could not detect a microwave background concluding there was no big bang. Both of these findings are decades old. Why do cosmologists cherry-pick the literature?

It’s comforting to see all of the comments mentioning Arp here. At this point I’m even wondering how accurate measurements of cosmological distances can be verified. We take speed of light as a constant for granted, but what if it varies, or isn’t moving at all? The exciting thing is the old scientific hegemony is fading out, so more information and new theories will be brought forth.

New scientific technology produces two groups of people... those who cling to past ideas, and those who don't.

Halton Arp should be a household name. If he was we wouldn’t have to labor under the delusional expanding universe theory. Great work as always!

Assuming we understand the Universe, while we just started to barely scratch its surface, is quite presposterous. 😊

Pierre-Marie Robitaille showed how the Cosmic Microwave data was from the foreground, as the averages across the anisotropy maps aligned with the galactic ecliptic.

Very helpful summary of the current situation. Thank you.

"The beginning of wisdom is 'I don't know'." We definitely know very little about the universe and that likely won't change.

These history-of-physics segments are so very useful. 99.9% of lay folk, and MOST scientists are ignorant of the very history of Science.

When the CMB map insists that there are regions of space with temperatures far below 0K, the issue might be related to that CMB map.
Great episode, again!

Equation to calculate Ho is 2 X oneMpc X C, divided by Pi to the power of 21 = 71K/S/Mpc. C can be slightly different RELATIVE to us in different regions of the universe will cause slight variations in Ho, causing what we know as the Hubble Tension.

3:52 "...the real *and exciting* possibility we have misunderstood the Universe."
Lol, theyre gonna pretend like they didn't spend billions and decades desperately avoiding that admission, aren't they?
Reminds me of the articles that came out with titles like, "Everyone went a little crazy about the virus, lets forgive each other" and "Why didn't the people who knew the vac scene was potentially dangerous do more to raise the alarm?"...

Awesome episode. Thanks for sharing. Looks like nature is starting to poke through the veil that has put over our eyes. Have you seen the episode where Bob Greenyer is testing samples via carbon14 dating model? He got 5 halflifes out of modified tailpipe “thunderstorm generator”. His tailpipe got 30k+ years on the carbon dating. They are accelerating decay of matter. There goes carbon dating history. Maybe interesting to make an episode on that?

FYI: in each pixel of the HIGHEST RESOLUTION maps of the CMB, there are over 100, 000 individual galactic sources of microwaves.
The CMB maps have literally nothing to do with the early universe.

The correct attitude, "the real and exciting possibility that we have misunderstood the universe "

When they finally accept that redshift has more than one cause, the change of view will be of the order of magnitude as to when we realized our Milky Way was only our galaxy, and many of what they called nebulae (e.g. Andromeda) are actually galaxies themselves.
