From my POV, it works if you are lurking. Otherwise, as a Cypher, I generally trigger my cage as soon as a Shock Dart comes in (mostly bcos I think the team will push after that SD)

Recently got put against a sova breaking my trips, shit got into 4D chess levels like i was swapping the trips every single fkin round and the fker still had a fkin lineup for it 😂😂.
Proud to say, i still tricked him 11/20 rounds with new trips i even came up with on the fly but he was way more increduble
